Practice tonight (Monday) is canceled for the U16 Girls team.

The boys team should check with Cory/Paula to find out if yours is still on.

Congratulations to the Lakers 16U Girls volleyball team for their first place finish in their division at the Sackville Tournament held on March 6th and 7th. After finishing with a winning record of 4 and 1 during the round robin matches, the Lakers went on to defeat the West Hants Wizards in two straight games in the finals to take the Gold medal.

The Lakers 16U team has shown that the team is strong, improving their standing at each tournament as the season progresses. The coaches and players have worked hard during the first half of the season, and trial and error has resulted in a first class team.  The coaches would also like to send a big thanks to their biggest fans, the parents, for their support, constant cheering and good humour at every tournament. It is always nice to see smiling parents on the sidelines.

The tournament will consist of 10 teams divided into 2 pools guaranteeing each team a minimum of 4 matches during the tournament. Teams will not be required to conduct any minor officiating during the tournament as other Lakers teams will assist the officials.

We are looking forward to seeing you there and wish you a great season.
