VNS Provincial t-shirts are now available to order. The t-shirts come in a variety of colours, and with short and long sleeves. Cost for short sleeves is $15 and long sleeves $20.

If you wish to order a t-shirt please contact your coach before April 5th, 2010.

Lakers Player Named to Husky Cup All-Star Team

Congratulations to Sarah MacKinnon, Lakers Middle player, who was named this past weekend to the Husky Cup All-Star team as the Best Blocker for the tournament. Sarah’s continued efforts as one of the team’s middle player has helped raise the Lakers competiveness level this year. Her strength, eagerness and willingness to always learn more about volleyball are only some of the strong attributes she demonstrates on and off the court. Again congratulations Sarah, we are very proud of you and continue to play hard.

To all of the players on the team – great weekend. Keep it up!

Lakers Volleyball Invitational – U15 Girls

Date:	Saturday March 21st, 2009 (8:00 am – 6:00 pm)
Where:	Carrefour du Grand Havre Community Centre, 201 Avenue du Portage Dartmouth, NS (map)
Tournament Fee:	$125.00 payable to “Paul Wesson“. Cheques will be collected upon arrival at the tournament prior to your first match.
Format:	Round Robin – 2 sets; Playoff – 2 out of 3
Age Group:	Girls 15U
# of Teams:	Up to 8 teams will be accepted

The tournament will consist of 8 teams divided into 2 pools guaranteeing each team a minimum of 3 matches during the tournament. Teams will not be required to conduct any minor officiating during the tournament as other Lakers teams will assist the officials.

A canteen will be available all day Saturday.

Date:	Friday February 20th (5:00 – 10:00 pm) / Saturday February 21st, 2009 (8:00 am – 6:00 pm)
